HIS STORY
Dom’s first supplement company, Revive MD, was a small vitamin brand he built with Matt Jansen on ingredient transparency. When customers kept asking for pre-workouts and protein, the two started RAW Nutrition in 2019. In his words: “If we were going to do it, we were going to do it right.”
Instead of paying an athlete to hold the product, he made six-time Mr. Olympia Chris Bumstead an owner. “I didn’t want to build a brand on someone who’d leave a year later.”
RAW grew on word of mouth and social clips. “We didn’t spend a dollar on Facebook ads.” The brand did about $300,000 in its first months and $7 million in its second year.
Retail came on his terms. The Vitamin Shoppe was “a testing ground, not the finish line.” RAW was named Brand of the Year there, then at GNC, and only then moved into Walmart and Sam’s Club.
